Stack Racks
Portable Stack Racks for Warehouses and Yards
A stack rack is a steel deck with four legs. Load it, and another loaded rack stacks on top. Empty, it nests or breaks down to save floor space. You get storage height without installing rack, and you can move the whole setup with a forklift when your floor plan changes.
We stock new 60″ x 48″ stack racks at volume pricing. Ask us about used stack racks, too.

Used Stack Racks
Ask About Used Stack Racks
Used stack racks cost less than new and work the same way when the steel is sound. Call 1-800-826-5326 to ask what’s available. When you look at used racks, here’s what to check:
-
Straight Legs
Each rack has to sit square in the one below, so bent legs are a deal breaker.
-
Corner Cups or Stacking Pins
These are what hold a stack together. They should seat cleanly with no play.
-
Deck and Welds
Check the wire or steel deck for damage and the frame welds for cracks.
-
Capacity Label
Where the maker’s label is still on, it tells you the rated load.
How They Work
How Stack Racks Work
Stacking
The legs of a loaded rack drop into the corners of the rack below. How many can safely stack depends on the maker’s rating and the load, so check the label or ask us.
Nesting
Empty racks nest or break down, depending on the style, so a stack of empties takes a fraction of the floor space.
Forklift Access
Forks go in from the side, so a loaded rack moves like a pallet.
No Install
There’s nothing to anchor or assemble on site. Set them down and load them.
Applications
Where Stack Racks Earn Their Floor Space
Seasonal Overflow
Peak inventory that needs a home for a few months, then folds away.
Tires
Stack bundles of tires by forklift. For fixed tire storage, see our tire racks.
Parts and Components
Automotive, machine and fabricated parts that come in bulk.
Crushable or Odd Loads
Goods that can’t be stacked directly on each other.
Outdoor Yards
Steel racks that store material outside without installing rack.
Moves and Relocations
Temporary storage while you move or rework a building.
